Welford Park

A couple of weeks' ago, on a cold but bright day, I went with my friend T to Welford Park.

Despite it being relatively nearby, I had never been there before.

It is famous for its snowdrop display every February.

As well as for being the location of filming for The Great British Bake Off.

 Thanks for driving, T x

Snowdrop Sunday

Last weekend, I went out with some of the 'Back Row Gang' from Camera Club.
We gathered at Kingston Bagpuize House for the first of their 'Snowdrop Sundays'.

A lot of the snowdrops (of many, many varieties) were already out, but some were still very much in bud.
There were not only snowdrops, but hundreds of crocuses, aconites and daffodils too.

When we got there, the sky was blue with this lovely cloud pattern, but by the time we left (after visiting the excellent tea room, where we sampled not only tea and hot chocolate, but also their home made cakes) the sky was much more grey and shortly after that it began to rain.

Isn't this room gorgeous? We found it upstairs in the gatehouse; it's crying out to be a location for a photoshoot.

Kingston Bagpuize House are holding Snowdrop Sundays throughout February if anyone reading this is interested.

Minster Lovell Hall in February

Last week I went out for a morning with Din from Camera Club.

She had wanted to visit Minster Lovell Hall for a while, and invited me along.

We were very lucky with the weather until just before we left, when it clouded over and began to rain.

Definitely somewhere to visit again in another season.
Thanks for the lift, Din! x
