31 July 2015

Watery reflection was a feature of today.

With many thanks to Din for giving me a lift to her 'private' lake.

28 July 2015

My first long, lazy lie-in of these summer holidays.

My favourite furry friend joined me.

27 July 2015

27 July 2015

I have done nothing except cleaning, washing, shopping and editing today, so I'm afraid you've got a shot actually taken on Saturday, but I hadn't even looked at them until today.

This is John Barleycorn dancing at the Lammas ceremony.

26 July 2015

Lou and I had a cup of tea with Nick and Bertie at this tearoom on the pier, before leaving a very soggy Eastbourne on Sunday lunchtime.

25 July 2015

Sunset at Beachy Head on Saturday evening.

24 July 2015

A shot of some wall decoration in a pub at which we had a meal on Friday night.

23 July 2015

23 July 2015

A bit of Lensbaby arty-fartiness for a Thursday. Thank you to Mags for the flowers, they are so pretty. x

I'm not sure I'll be able to post over the next few days so might be playing catch up next week.

21 July 2015

Cherry and sultana tiffin, made for this evening's summer social at Camera Club.

20 July 2015

20 July 2015

I met up with Finola to take some photos this afternoon. We played with Lensbabies, but I am going to use this straight macro as my shot for today: A fly with an injured eye.

19 July 2015

19 July 2015

A lovely quiet day.

Red rose from the strip of 'garden' at the front of the house.

18 July 2015

18 July 2015

I was in town this morning to photograph the buskers (Shotgun Weather Ferret, who were fab, as always).

I wasn't the only one there with a camera though.

17 July 2015

17 July 2015

For a lot of the day, I thought today's picture might be one of a plaster cast on the boy's arm. But after several hours in A&E, an X-ray, and examination, it has been deemd to be soft tissue damage rather than anything bone-related.
So ... with apologies to my vegan and vegetarian friends ... today's picture is instead of some of the fish for sale in Sainsbury's at Heyford Hill. Rather random, but there you go. :D

I especially like the green plastic 'garnish' around the edge.

16 July 2015

16 July 2015

When I saw a seller on eBay selling their Lensbaby plastic, pinhole and single glass optics for silly money, I had to have them. Today was the first time I've tried the plastic optic. When Lensbaby say "Our softest optic overall, the Plastic Optic creates very ethereal photos with abundant chromatic aberration," they are not joking.
I'm not sure there is a sharp spot at all.

I think this one will take some getting used to, but at £10, I'm happy.

15 July 2015

15 July 2015

I finished editing and sorting today! Phew. All images passed over to Beth; so I can once again concentrate on photos of other stuff. But today I am posting a small collage of shots of Mr Aidan Sheehan of the quite fabulous Nudybronque

If you get a chance to see them, please do - once seen, never forgotten!

14 July 2015

14 July 2015

Oops, almost forgot to post anything for today! Up to my eyes in editing/sorting again, but I think I can see light at the end of the tunnel. Here's a few more from the weekend to be going on with.

(Sorry if it's getting boring).

13 July 2015

13 July 2015

I have spent almost the entire day editing shots from the weekend.
I have just finished doing ones from Sunday (the day it rained) - which leaves Saturday to do tomorrow (and possibly Wednesday as well!)

These are just a few of the ones I like, for various reasons.

12 July 2015

12 July 2015

So there we all were - RITP day two. And then the rain came. Garry must've filled in the form wrong when he was ordering the weather.

After only four acts, the event was cancelled. :(

11 July 2015

11 July 2015

I spent eight hours photographing at Rock in the Park today. I *only* took around 800 photographs :-O I think I'll be editing until Christmas.

I'm back there again tomorrow for Day 2 - hope the sun shines again like it did today.

10 July 2015

10 July 2015

I couldn't resist snapping this little girl who was peeping round the barriers to see what was going on at the park earlier today.

8 July 2015

8 July 2015

I haven't been very well today; I feel as sick as a sick thing. :( As a result, I haven't touched a camera today, and have nothing to post. So here's a shot from last night's competition at Camera Club. It's been at least 12 months, possibly more since I scored a 20, but last night I got two of them.
The set subject was 'Street Portrait' and I'm glad the judged liked it, because I do too.

Hopefully I'll feel better tomorrow, and normal service will be resumed.

7 July 2015

7 July 2015

It's been a while since I had a wander round the charity shops in town.

Very pleased with this find today - a set of brand new Ikea crockery.

6 July 2015

6 July 2015

I don't often buy carnations, but couldn't resist these in the 'reduced' bucket at the garden centre.

5 July 2015

5 July 2015

The last football tournament of this season. Not their finest hour.

(Also Mum's birthday, but I forgot to take a photo of the cream tea!)

4 July 2015

4 July 2015

This lady is called Sharyn; she is one of the buskers who performed in town today.

The band were fab.

3 July 2015

3 July 2015

I have lots and lots of shots from today's visit (with Anna and Tracey) to The Nature Discovery Centre at Thatcham.
I was going to make a collage, but I've run out of time. What with other 'stuff' needing my attention, I've only had time to look at a few photos, so it'll have to be one of those for the day.
It's a fab place; I'd definitely like to go back another time.

Thanks for the lift, T x

2 July 2015

2 July 2015

The field poppies up at Court Hill are almost over, but I managed to catch this little insect impersonating a poppy stamen on one of the few remaining flowers there this morning.

1 July 2015

1 July 2015

It's far too warm to do some of the things I'd planned to do today.

So instead, I met up with Carol for a cooling drink and lunch, at a local hostelry!
